the song: JUST START SOMETHING
"You don’t
have to be great to start; you have to start to become great." - Les
Brown.
VERSE 1:
Have
you read that Aliko Dangote is the world’s richest black man? Have you read
that Lekan Something’s company has discovered oil in Lagos? Have you read that
the secret of USA’s fortune started from Agriculture? Have you read that you
can earn close to five million naira annually by venturing into afforestation? No?
Or am I too deep for my questions? Ha!
VERSE 2:
Have
you read the profiles of some of the world’s greatest achievers and
entrepreneurs of our time? Am I now sounding familiar? What is special about them;
Bill Gates, Late Steve
Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg, Late Ray Kroc, Late Colonel Sanders, The Google Duo, Oprah
Winfrey (World richest black woman), Aliko Dangote, Femi Otedola, ‘Me’, etc?
There is really nothing special about them. Every quality they have, you also
have. There is absolutely nothing special about them.
NOTE: ‘Me’ is there
but I am working hard to change it and put my full name.
VERSE 3:
There is a peculiar difference about these guys: they were all willing
to start something and they started. They started in their own little ways and
nature recognized their efforts and gave them speed. They persisted with the
speed and nature made them big. With their consistency in the big now, nature is making them even bigger.
“But why all of them and not me?” you may think within you. Yes, because they
started something they conceived, believed in it and pushed for it with their
all. You too can do it as well.
Never expect to be
any of these people. Start that thing that has been in your heart to do all
these years. In a few years from now, you may not be as relevant as these people; but I assure
you that you will be more relevant than you ever imagined; you will be known to supersede dreaming and then living
out your dreams. Dreams do come through with action and consistency. Just start
something.
INTERLUDE:
My friend, rock your boat and start something. Oh - oh ho ...
PS: Don’t pirate this song ... LOL.
